In case the items has been discontinued and are no longer available we may suggest “second-life” equipment meaning that they have undergone a renovation and testing procedure by the original manufacturer as it:
- comes from stocks
- has been subject to a limited-to-none use
- was removed from a discontinued plant

In more recent years the very idea of items that have been little used and still in good conditions – provided they are working - has turned into a positive value and in certain cases the most convenient choice both economically and in terms of sustainability. Giving the item a second life in fact reduces the impact on the planet resources and results in a cheaper and more compatible price with the budget limitations we are daily confronted with. More and more often plants must in fact manage low budgets and cannot afford most expensive rehabilitation projects involving the replacement of the whole sub-system, and on the other hand running the plant at a lower productivity level because of the item shortage is a very poor solution.
